Our experts carry out a condition check of the hold before loading. This gives confidence that there will be no infection of the cargo with materials that are already in the hold, and also will not be affected by negative factors caused by the defects of the vessel. Our surveyors take pictures, document and record any detected abnormalities.

During the inspection, check for signs of moisture or water damage in the hold or bottom.

Inspect the manhole covers at departure and upon arrival for tightness and serviceability.

Search for obvious damage, holes and leaks that may affect the quality of the cargo.

Any involved party may appoint a surveyor to conduct an inspection to determine the watertightness of ship’s hatch covers or other exterior doors and hatches.
